Training

The term assistive technology encompasses a broad range of devices from "low tech" (e.g., pencil grips, splints, paper stabilizers) to "high tech" (e.g., computers, screen readers). These devices include the entire range of supportive tools and equipment from adapted spoons to wheelchairs and computer systems with assistive software. This assistive software covers a wide range from concept mapping to environmental control.

If your assessment of need report recommends assistive technology, you are strongly advised to take up this option. ATOP Ltd trainers are able to conduct this training in your own home or student lodgings fitting in with your commitments.

By conducting the training in your place of residence we ensure that you receive support and help not just in how to operate the technology but also in the best way to set up your computer.

This training is individually tailored and will not just focus on the operation of the technology but also the requisite study strategies, which will enable you to improve your learning skills.
